NIALL DUNLOP
Side projects
Outside of my studies I've worked on several projects, learning new skills and broadening my understanding of the different facets of game design.
Game Jam Projects
When the opportunity arises, I take part in game jams to broaden my horizons, learn new skills and train myself to work to a strict deadline. Below are the two most recent Game Jam projects I've worked on.

Clownin' Around:
Global Game Jam
Clownin' Around is a first person PvE shooter about a clown whose mission it is to cheer people up by throwing pies in their faces.
My objective for this Jam was to create a game that was polished, with the presentation of a shipped product, while keeping scope small.

Dungeons and Doorways: Brackeys Game Jam
The longer timeframe of Brackeys Game Jam and the fact that I was working in a group of four instead of solo allowed for a larger scope with this jam. I designed and implemented the combat, including both the melee and ranged attacks, as well as User Interface design, programming the enemy AI and implementing 2D, 3D and sound assets.
